Xakanaxa Lagoon

The Xakanaxa Lagoon lies at the tip of the Mopane Tongue within the Moremi Game Reserve. It is a breathtaking area with the lagoon surrounded by the Reserves twisting waterways, endless flood plains and the towering mopane trees associated with this area.

The Xakanaxa area boasts an innumerable population of antelope, which entice predators to the area. It is possible to spot lions, cheetahs or leopards roaming the area. In addition is variety of bird life ranging from herons to storks to buzzards - a bird watchers paradise.

Boating safaris or tranquil rides in the mokoro (dug-out canoe) are an excellent way to explore the area. Game drives also offer amazing scenery of the surrounding area and should not be missed.
